BIO

Nasce a Fayetteville, Arkansas nel 1994. Vive e lavora a Chicago.

Sebastian Thomas, artista inglese-americano, ha conseguito un Bachelor of Fine Arts con doppia specializzazione in Pittura e Scrittura Creativa presso il Kansas City Art Institute nel 2017 e ha conseguito un Master presso la School of the Art Institute of Chicago, laureandosi nel 2023. Ha frequentato lo Studio Arts College International di Firenze, l’AICAD Studio Residency di Brooklyn NY e l’Ox-Bow Art and Artist Residency di Saugatuck Michigan.

Sebastian è un Teaching Fellow nel Dipartimento di Pittura e Disegno per l’anno accademico 2023/2024 presso la School of the Art institute di Chicago. Ha ricevuto il premio Municipal Art League Fellowship 2023, la Joseph & Emily Gidwitz Scholarship e il Presidential Scholar Award del KCAI. Le sue opere sono state esposte a livello nazionale e internazionale in gallerie e spazi espositivi come il Leedy-Voulkos Art Center di Kansas City, lo Studio Arts College International di Firenze, l’Association of Independent Colleges of Art and Design di New York City e la Zolla Lieberman Gallery di Chicago Illinois.

È stato pubblicato su Kawsmouth Publications, Sprung Formal Literary Magazine e intervistato dalle stazioni radio KKFI e KXUA. Sebastian vive e lavora a Chicago, IL.
